Letter from the Editor:

Eastside Food Bites is a Los Angeles food blog that focuses on the east and northeast corners of the city. We mostly write about Highland Park, Eagle Rock, Silver Lake, Echo Park, Boyle Heights, East LA, El Sereno, Atwater Village, Glassell Park, Hermon, Lincoln Heights and Los Feliz. However, we do sometimes leave our neighborhoods to check out restaurants places that are “worth the drive” in Downtown LA, South Pasadena, Glendale, Koreatown, and Hollywood. Occasionally, we venture even further, but it’s rare.

The goal is to find the best of the best in our neighborhoods. We love unique concepts, incredible ingredients and authenticity whether they come from the newest, slickest restaurant or the oldest hole-in-the-wall joints. Supporting and bringing attention to small business is our goal, and we love spreading the word about well-kept culinary secrets and revisiting long-time favorites. Basically, we just love good food and can never wait to share it with you.

This blog is edited by me, Valentina Silva. I started the blog in 2010 as a lone wolf but have recently added on contributors in hopes of casting a wider net and bringing you, dear reader, the best of the best.
